Title: Stainless Steel: The Green Alloy
Authors: Naha, Sujit Kumar
Issue Date: Apr-2011
Publisher: NISCAIR-CSIR, India
Abstract: With its sleek, elegant surface, great strength, long service life and excellent environmental credentials, the future surely looks bright, shiny and unstained for Stainless Steel. IF you find the words ‘green alloy’ a bit mystifying, well stainless steel is one of the very few alloys that are 100% recyclable. It can, therefore, be melted time and time again and reformed into a new product.
