| Abstract: | Presents a method of metadata harvesting
from different Open Archives Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting
compliant institutional digital repositories containing electronic theses and
dissertations. Reports designing of a
prototype union catalogue of electronic theses and dissertations as a
single-window search interface to facilitate retrieval of electronic theses and
dissertations on global scale. The purpose of this union catalogue is to build
an easy-to-use search service through automatic record harvesting for providing
access to databases of worldwide electronic theses and dissertations. |
