Abstract: In practice of Ayurveda, herbo-mineral/metallic formulations (<i style="">Bhasma</i> of metals and minerals) are used since 7th centuries. It was supposed that these medicines have superior level of efficacy in comparison to other Ayurvedic dosage forms. Several studies claimed that <i style="">Bhasmas</i> are biologically produced nanoparticles.
