Abstract: A number of novel quinazolines and annulated quinazolines 4-11 are obtained via the nucleophilic interaction of 2-alkyl-4 -3,1-benzoxazin-4-one 3 with different nitrogen nuc leophiles .Hydrazinoquinazoline 11 is us ed for the synthes is of otherquinazoline derivatives 12-14 through the reaction of differentreagents . The antimicrobial, surfac e ac tive properties and thebiodegradability of some of the synthesized compounds edescribed.
