Abstract: Qualitative and quantitative changes are obs erved in t etriterpene profile when leaf samples and extract preserved over aperiod are reexamined.The results observed in the case of two plants <i> Dysoxylum malabaricum </i> and <i>Dysoxylum beddomei</i> indicate the convergence of distribution in favour of preferred structures which were major isolates from both sources in the original work. The biological sequence rules of triterpene rearrangement found to be obeyed always but the definite pattern in the rearrangements indicate the intervention of some new enzyme activities.
