| Abstract: | An elegant one-pot synthesis of isoxazolo[2,3– ]pyrimidines has been achieved by reaction of 3-amino-5-methylisoxazole with 4-arylidene-2-phenyl-5-oxazolones. Treatment of 3-amino-5-methylisoxazole with chalcones also resulted in the formation of isoxazolo[2,3- ]pyrimidines in a single step. The structure of the products have been elucidated by spectral and analytical data. |
