Abstract: Plants used in Siddha system of medicine for arthritis has been studied from various Siddha literatures and are presented hereunder. The particulars of herbs used with its botanical name, vernacular name (Tamil), family, parts used, administration form and indication are tabulated. This information provides immense potential for studying their activity for arthritis both in pre-clinical and clinical stages, which lead to the preparation of useful pharmaceutical products.
