Title: Study of the effect of relative humidity on the swallowing of food material in the intestine of Silk Worm (Bombyx mori)

Authors: Mishra, A B

Abstract: A study was carried out to find out the effect of relative humidity on the swallowing of food material in the intestine
of silk worm. Results revealed that food ecology and environmental factors affect the life activity of the insect
significantly. On increasing the relative humidity from 45 to 90%, value of time in midgut, hindgut and egestion of
excretory pellet in silk worm larvae decreased.

Propellants for space launch vehicles

Title: Propellants for space launch vehicles

Authors: Shanker, Kali

Abstract: Propellants are chemical mixtures which are burned inside the rockets for producing thrust and this mixture consists
of a fuel and an oxidizer. Fuel is that substance which, if combined with an oxygen producing gas (for propulsion)
starts burning. Oxydiser is an agent that releases oxygen for combination with a fuel. The ratio of the oxidizer and the
fuel is called mixture ratio. Propellants are classified according their states, namely liquid, solid or hybrid. The
parameter by which the efficiency of a rocket is judged is called specific impulse. The specific impulse represents as
to how many pounds (or kilograms) of thrust is generated by burning one pound (or one kilogram) propellant in one
second. Specific impulse is the property of various propellants but its actual value, to some extent, goes on changing
depending upon the design of rocket engine and the operating conditions.

Assay of some diuretics with pyridinium fluorochromate reagent

Title: Assay of some diuretics with pyridinium fluorochromate reagent

Authors: Shukla, I C; Singh, B K; Kumar, Vinod

Abstract: In the present paper, a simple and convenient method has been developed for the milligram determination of some
diuretics, e.g. acetazole amide, spironolactone, frusimide, hydrochlorothiazide, indapamide hemihydrate and mannitol
in pure form and in their pharmaceutical preparations with the use of pyridinium fluorochromate (PFC) in acidic
medium. The value of percentage error, SD and CV prove the method to be precise and reproducible.

Title: Recurring study of anaemic patients as per their blood group in tuberculosis affected population in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh

Authors: Sharma, Sunita; Rohtagi, Pooja; Bansal, Sanjay

Abstract: An experiment was conducted in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh to find out the anaemic patients as per their blood
groups in tuberculosis affected population. Out of the 994 T.B. affected patients, 568 (57.14%) were the male whereas
426 (42.85%) were female. In males blood group of l4l (24.82%) persons was '0' of 203 (35.74%) persons was 'A', of
188 (33.10%) persons was 'B' and of 36 (6.34%) persons was 'AB'. In female group blood group of 129 (30.28%)
persons was 'A', of l02 (23.94%) persons was 'B', of l63 (38.26%) persons was '0' and of 32 (7.51) persons was 'AB'.
By the blood of these patients study of haemoglobin and R.B.C was carried out. The male patients who were having
'0' blood group were Jound highly anaemic, i.e. 58 (41.15%) whereas in female patients, who were having 'B' blood group were found highly anaemic i.e. 33 (7.74).
